ProPay—Frequently Asked Questions
How much is the cost of a ProPay card?
Absolutely nothing! It is included in your Start Kit.
Is there an annual fee?
No, this is included in your annual renewal.
Why is it required to put in my social security number during the sign-up process?
ProPay, like banks and other financial institutions, requires your Social Security number to verify your identity, a government requirement by the Patriot Act.
May I sign up for a ProPay Account using my business name and tax ID instead of my own personal information?
Because ProPay requires a personal guarantee, the account has to be set up in an individual’s name, not an entity’s. This requires the use of personal information, such as your Social Security number, not a tax ID.
Will ProPay provide me with my annual 1099 form?
No. Once you have established either a personal or business entity with GoFoods Global, GoFoods Global will provide you with all the necessary personal/business tax information (1099 form) associated with the account. Please note that your tax status has no bearing on your ProPay account as they solely transfer funds; if you would like to change your status for tax purposes please contact GoFoods Global IBO Support.
When I try to sign up for an account I receive the message that my e-mail address has already been used?
ProPay requires a separate e-mail address for each account. If you are receiving this message, ProPay already has an account on file with the e-mail address you are trying to use. Please contact ProPay Customer Service at 866.573.0951 for further assistance Monday through Friday between 6:30 am and 7:00 pm Mountain Standard Time.
Will Propay automatically send me my GoFoods Global MasterCard/debit card, or do I have to select the MasterCard option upon enrollment?
In order to be compliant with Federal Laws, you must select to receive your GoFoods Global MasterCard/debit card. This option is available during signup. However, if you did not select this option and want the GoFoods Global MasterCard/debit card at a later date, you may contact ProPay and they will mail one to you.
Am I required to have a ProPay MasterCard/debit card in order to receive commissions?
No. You can use the ACH transfer method to transfer your funds into your bank account.
Can I use my ProPay account to pay for my GoFoods Global orders?
If you wish, you can pay for your orders with your ProPay MasterCard as long as you have the appropriate funds.
What fees, if any, are associated with using my ProPay account?
Please visit the ProPay marketing document in your Back Office to review any usage fees associated with the ProPay MasterCard.
What if I want to get a check instead of using ProPay?
Issuing checks is out of our normal payment protocol so you must contact IBO Support at support@gofoodsglobal.com or via the back office chat feature.
Why is there a small processing fee of $3.50 for choosing to be paid by check for my commissions?
Regardless of payment preference, each transfer of money has its own fees. GoFoods Global deducts this small fee when any commission is distributed with a check as the payment preference.
What if I don’t earn enough commissions to reach the $35 minimum to generate a check?
If there’s ever a circumstance where a minimum commissions check amount is not earned, those earnings will be placed on your IBO GoFoods Global Account as a ledger balance, indicating that you have earned those bonuses. The funds will remain on the account until your accumulated earnings exceed the minimum check amount of $35. Your bonuses will then be issued and processed at that time in the form of a check.
